How current is the pricing?+
The catalog is curated manually and prices change often, especially around promotions. Always confirm the current price on the carrier’s own site before switching.
How is this different from My Cell Deal?+
MyCellDeal (our sister site) focuses on phone-plus-plan deals. MyCellPlan compares BYOD plans — what you pay monthly when you bring your own phone.
Do I need an account?+
No. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for — the whole catalog and every tool is public.
How does the data calculator work?+
It multiplies your daily streaming, social, email, and browsing habits by typical per-activity data rates (about 1.5 GB/hr for HD video, 300 MB/hr for social, 150 MB/hr for browsing) and projects a monthly total. It is a rule-of-thumb estimate, not a measurement.
Are you affiliated with any carrier?+
No. MyCellPlan is independent and ad-supported. Carriers do not pay for placement, and listings are ordered by price or value, never by sponsorship.
